well, i would say awol's first party of 2005 went pretty well considering there was still a line to get in at 1am! i arrived around 11pm after finally making a descision on what to wear... i had never been in the room where the main area was setup, so it was a nice change for me... i like how versatile the venue is... we can have lots of parties there, but they can all be held in diffent rooms so it still always kind of seems like a new venue... the props were nice and the visuals and the laser were good times! all the deejays dropped some pretty dope tracks, but overall the vibe was more chill than anything... there were moments of incredible excitement, but for the most part everyone seemed to be relaxing rather than running around all crazy... definately not what i expected, but not a bad thing... the second area wasn't too enticing to me, so i din't really spend to much time in there, but people told me there was good music being thrown down in there all night...

my grievences for the evening included a little run-in with security due to me dropping my pants... now i know that sounds like a good reason for security to be hunting me down, but originally i had planned on coming in my underwear and a t-shirt without the pants... i was just going to wear them until i got in the venue, and then leave them over with everyone else's stuff by the visuals control table... after i got inside and saw that most of the guys didn't even wear pajama's, i decided to keep the pants on... but i thought it would be great to get a picture with my pants down just so i could show off the undies i wore... within 30 seconds of me dropping my pants, security was all up in my face telling me they were gonna kick me out... it was dumb... most of the girls in there were wearing practically nothing, but i get in trouble because i am a boy... that's not cool... anyways... i didn't end up getting kicked out, but that really bothered me... if erica's ass can be hanging out, why can't i just wear my undies which cover my entire ass and everything else?
